Our next ceremony weekend with the jungle's sacred medicine will take place from 1 to 3 November at a beautiful location in the forest in Friesland.
During the 2 nights of ceremony ‘from dusk till dawn’ we complete a cycle of healing for the benefit of our bodies, minds and souls. The night is dedicated to shadow-work so we can access more of our light and free our energies from anything holding us back from being full blown Creators!

Inspired by the teachings and traditions of indigenous people who live in close harmony with nature, we offer plant medicine and medicinal plants in a ritualistic Amazonian setting under the loving guidance of Mexican medicine man Mano ‘Churuwia’. With the help of an experienced family of assistants and apprentices he has been providing safe and loving spaces for healing in the last years for people around the world who have recognized the healing powers of the sacred plants and rituals.
OUR MEDICINE MAN
Mano is a medicine man of Mexican and Dutch descent who has been following and training along this path since 2003, integrating Mexican, North- and South American traditions and plant-medicines. Guiding ceremonies with various plant medicines within an ancestral and multicultural setting, he stays very close to the essence of the traditions and teachings. He trains and works with indigenous Elders and wisdom keepers in Mexico and Ecuador, and provides retreats, ceremonies, healings, medicine music, sweat lodges, ‘limpias’, therapies with medicinal plants and herbs and (medicine assisted-) massages with warm oils.
Commonly known by the Siberian word ‘shaman’, in Mano's lineage these are the exclusive practices of the ‘Uwishin’ (Shuar Nation, Amazon) and 'Nahual’, ‘Curandero’ or ‘Sanador’ (healer) in Mexico. As a traditional plant medicine singer (icaros) and player of native instruments such as the ‘tumank' (Amazonian monochord) and his Shuar violin, harmonicas, flutes and the guitar, Mano guides the ceremonies, with the support of wonderful medicine musicians, to bring out the highest vibrations from the medicine's healing powers. Mano shares his message and prayer mostly in English, with no need for translation. He has been recognized a ‘traditional doctor’ and is a member of various organizations of native councils in North and South America who advocate for indigenous rights and freedom to use medicinal plants, such as COFEMITES (World Confederation for Integrative, Complementary and Traditional Medicine & Health Education); UDH (Ibero-American University of Science and Human Development) and GAIPREM (Multi ethnic Autonomous Indigenous Governorships of the Republic of Mexico) and FSI Ecuador (by Dr.h.c Uwishin Hilario).
HEALTH & MEDICATION
! medications with MAOI’s and SSRI’s are not compatible with the medicine and impose serious DANGER to your health! Therefor it is not possible to participate if you have used the following medication in the 1 to 3 months prior to the ceremony: neuro-psychiatric medications, selective serotonin inhibitors (SSRI) or monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOI) such as antidepressants or anticonvulsants. Please consult your physician on how to taper off your medication safely.
Let us know your situation for an opinion and remember the intake interview and health check we do before admitting you to ceremony is mandatory and relies on your complete honesty and signature.
LOCATION
The ceremony will take place at a beautiful location in the forest in Friesland (NL) which has recently been built for the sole purpose of working with plant medicine and with tribal Elders from (Latin) America. The land has been consecrated by Huichol Elders from Mexico with the Sacred Fire.
The location can best be reached by car but it is also possible to arrive by train and the local train taxi. The exact address will be provided a few days prior to the ceremony.
* There are no private rooms available at this location. The ceremony space will be quiet and available for resting during the day.
WHAT TO BRING
Every participant has their own mattress in the spacious ceremony room but will need to bring their own pillow and blanket. Bring comfortable warm clothing and slippers. There is no dress code, but it's good to attend the ceremony in white clothing, representing the energy of initiation and commence. Make sure you bring a change of clothes and underwear. There's showers, but you'll need to bring your soap and towel. For the daytime rest you could bring some earplugs and an eye mask. In the spirit of sharing, we ask everyone to bring something nutritious to share at the altar and at breakfast: some fruits, bread, seeds, juice, healthy pie or quiche. It doesn't need to be much, but please bring the least of waste (packages, plastics wraps etc.) and the same for water: please bring your water in refillable bottles.
SAFETY NOTE
Please note that for your own safety and also the integrity of the work, you cannot leave during or shortly after the ceremony. We ask you to make sure that you get enough rest after the ceremony before driving back. Please do not commit to appointments right after the ceremony.

COSTS
Euro 455,-
This includes 2 medicine ceremonies, food and lodging (no private rooms).
Your contribution for this event is €455 for the whole weekend, including breakfast on both days and a good lunch on Saturday. You may pay in two installments.
There are only 5 places available for participating a single night (€270). This is because we find two ceremonies much more beneficial than one, and it supports the group’s harmony over the weekend.
PAYMENT & CANCELATION
Please note that the payment is non-refundable since we need the full commitment of the number of participants. If you cannot attend due to an emergency situation your spot can be transferred to another person or (if cancelled more than 1 week before) rescheduled to a next ceremony.
* This ceremony is offered in spirit and service of the millenary knowledge of cultural, spiritual, botanical and therapeutic practices of indigenous peoples of Mexico and the Amazon. Part of your contribution flows back to support our local medicine family in the Ecuadorian upper Amazon where the sacred vine is grown for us and for generations to come.
