Over dit evenement
Breathwork & Sound healing ceremony @ Oracley Amsterdam.
We, Mauri and Alicia, are delighted to welcome you for a 2,5 hour Breathwork and Sound healing session on Sunday August 25th from 18.30-21.00 at Oracley Guided Healing Space in Amsterdam.
The intention of this session is to foster a sense of softness within through the use of breath and sound. While the healing sounds help you to soften into your breath practice, the breath helps you to open to the vibrations of sound even more. A beautiful upwards spiral to connect within 🐚
We keep the group small with a maximum of 10 people so that we can provide attentive and intimate guidance.
About Breathwork
During this session, we’ll use a gentle form of conscious connected breathwork. Despite being softer, this technique is a profound way to go within and open your whole system. Breathwork can bring into awareness what normally remains dormant in our subconscious, and therefore be beautifully powerful and transformative.
It works on many levels, and we often experience a combination of physical, emotional and spiritual layers in a session.
A breathwork session is a true journey, where time seems to change, our inner landscape widens, and our system is opened. And it’s because of that openness during the end of a session that makes it such a beautiful combination with sound healing. You might notice that you feel the effects of sound healing at an even deeper level than you’re used to because you are so receptive after the deep relaxation that follows after breathwork
How a session is experienced is highly individual, and can differ a lot from session to session, so we can never predict what will arise. However, during this evening the intention is to foster a sense of softening within. Making it a gentle and loving journey inwards.
About Sound healing
To support your loving journey inwards, we’ll bring in a live sound healing with beautiful singing bowls, tuning forks and other vibrational instruments. As you lay down on a soft bed you can rest deeply while harmonious sounds wash over you.
Sound healing is an ancient healing modality which utilizes sound vibration and frequencies with an aim to restore balance from inside to out. The instruments send out sound vibrations which affect the body and brain and induce a feeling of well-being and harmonization. The sound vibrations are sent through the body, massaging the cells, and helping to release stored tension on the physical, emotional and spiritual levels of the body. The range of frequencies sent out by the bowls has a relaxing and calming effect, altering the brain waves into a deep state of rest to support the body’s natural healing abilities. Whilst in this state, the heart rate slows, blood pressure lowers, the parasympathetic nervous system activates, the body rejuvenates and finds peace of mind.
Equally to breathwork, sensations that arise during sound healing may differ from person to person.
About Alicia
Alicia has been fascinated with nature within and without, ever since she was a young kid. Next to doing her PhD in systems microbiology, loves sharing the practices that have been most transformational for herself, to inspire others to live their most authentic life.
She teaches both movement-based embodiment classes in the form of vinyasa, and deep explorative/restorative work through breathwork and yoga nidra. Through all these practices, her heart is in letting people experience deep rest. She believes deep relaxation is one of the most direct portals to connect more deeply within. Her approach is very body-oriented and experiential, inspired by both ancient wisdom traditions and modern day science.
She has guided hundreds of classes, workshops and 1:1s, and continues to be amazed by the power that learning to synergize the body, breath and silence can have on people’s lives.
