Join us for an immersive two-day dance workshop designed to elevate your dance skills by focusing on connection and styling. This workshop is suitable for both leaders and followers and aims to enhance your dance experience through a combination of theory and practice.

⬢ Day 1: The Art of Connection
⬢⬢ Morning Session: 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM

⬢⬢⬢ Introduction to Elastic Frame
Understanding the concept of an elastic frame and how it enhances your connection with your partner.
Exercises to develop a responsive and flexible frame.
Connection through Calm and Focus

Techniques to dance from a place of stillness and mindfulness.
Practicing being in tune with yourself to better connect with your partner.

⬢⬢⬢ Partner Connection Exercises
Practical exercises to improve your ability to dance in sync with your partner.
Emphasis on the subtle nuances of leading and following.

⬢⬢ Afternoon Session: 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM
⬢⬢⬢ Footwork Fundamentals
Exploring variations in tempo and rhythm.
Learning specific footwork patterns, including tempo changes and small jumps.

⬢⬢⬢ Mini Choreography Practice
Combining connection techniques and footwork into a cohesive mini choreography.
Step-by-step breakdown of the choreography to ensure comprehension and execution.

⬢ Day 2: Styling and Personal Expression
⬢⬢ Morning Session: 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM

⬢⬢⬢ Hip Movement Mastery
Incorporating figure-eight movements into basic steps.
Applying hip styling in various dance steps, such as the sothino-step.
Learning the viradhina, pause/rest, and turn combination, led by the hips.

⬢⬢⬢ Arm Styling Techniques
Open to lunge movements with arm styling for both leaders and followers.
Focus on making arm movements deliberate and graceful.

⬢⬢ Afternoon Session: 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM
⬢⬢⬢ Follower's Styling Moves
Creating confidence and comfort in body contact and arm movements.
Practicing specific styling moves that enhance the visual appeal of the dance.
Leader's Styling and Interaction

Techniques for leaders to incorporate styling and interaction into their dance.
Partner exercises where leaders guide followers’ arms in styling, such as in a bodywave embrace.
Final Choreography Assembly

Integrating all learned elements into a final mini choreography.
Practice session to ensure fluidity and connection in the complete routine.
