Are you seeking a deeper sense of community with your queer kin, cultivating more meaningful, embodied connections that go beyond the chit-chat?
Welcome to a space where you can ground your nervous system and safely express yourself through nourishing & playful connection games with genuine, empathetic LGBTQ+ identifying people from all walks of life.
🌬️ We will begin the evening with a heart-opening, mind cleansing pranayama breathwork practice to help you land into your body and into the space.
❤️🔥 We will then harness the communication alchemy of Authentic Relating, enabling you to heartfully, playfully and courageously connect, using the tools of radical honesty and active listening. The practice invites you to drop deeper into presence, embodied awareness and permission to express whatever is alive within you and the ‘we-space’ between you and other(s).
🧘 We will finish the evening with some yin yoga, helping you gently integrate any insights that may have emerged, and preparing you for a restful night's sleep.
🎁 Come and meet a whole bunch of vibrant, fascinating characters, and practice communication skills you can gift to your life beyond the workshop!
✨ Games will be played in pairs and small groups, which will be configured at random.
🫂 After the workshop, there will be an open cuddle puddle and lounge space for you to keep connecting until doors close at 10.30pm.
🌈 This event welcomes all aged 18+ who identify as lesbian, gay, bi, queer or trans, as well as people who identify somewhere on a gender-fluid spectrum.
🤫 Everything shared in the workshop is consensual and confidential.

Laurie King
I'm Laurie (he/him), a queer British-Kiwi who’s current home-base is New Zealand. My passion is creating spaces that cultivate healthy, thriving human-to-human relationships, helping people take off their masks, feel their sensations and celebrate their aliveness on Earth. Since 2019, I have organised and facilitated hundreds of Authentic Relating, Dating and Embodiment workshops across Oceania and Europe.
My training includes The Embody Lab, Authentic Revolution, World Peace Yoga School and Connection Institute. I have facilitated at internationally acclaimed festivals such as Stretch, and organisations such as ART International.
My workshops have sparked thousands of nourishing connections, turning many strangers into life-long friends. I look forward to holding space for you!

Practicalities:
Where: Upstiars @ de Ruimte, Weesperzijde 79A, 1091 EJ Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Cost: €25 for earlybird ticket, €30 for regular ticket, €35 for last-minute ticket
Food & drinks: There will be tea & snacks available. Please eat a light dinner beforehand if possible (not too heavy as the breathwork may then be uncomfrotable).
Language: The workshop will be facilitated in English but you may do the exercises in Dutch if it is the language you share.
Refund policy: No refunds available. If you cannot make it you may transfer your ticekt to a friend or use it as credit for a future workshop.
