🌿 Introduction to Handpan Workshop - Learn to Play in the Veluwe Forest

A second session by popular demand!

Join us for a gentle and playful introduction to this beautiful, meditative instrument, surrounded by the peaceful forests of the Veluwe. No musical experience is needed; just bring your curiosity and enthusiasm 🤎

Handpans will be provided for everyone, so you can simply arrive and start playing. We'll explore the instrument from the ground up, learning simple techniques, rhythms and patterns that will allow you to create beautiful sounds and begin finding your own natural flow.

Rather than focusing on reading music or getting everything "right", this workshop is an invitation to listen, feel and explore. You'll have plenty of space to experiment with the instrument, discover your own way of playing and experience the joy of making music together.

🌿 During the workshop, we'll explore:
· Getting to know the handpan and how it works
· Basic playing techniques
· Simple rhythms, patterns and grooves
· Playing intuitively and finding your own expression
· Playing and exploring together

✨ Explore different handpan scales
We'll also have a selection of handpans in different scales for you to explore. This makes the workshop a unique opportunity to experience how different scales and tunings feel and sound, especially if you're considering getting a handpan of your own.

And if you find the one… you'll even have the possibility to purchase a handpan on the spot and take it home with you. ✨

Set amongst the trees of the Veluwe, the workshop becomes more than simply an introduction to an instrument. It's a chance to slow down, connect with nature and discover the meditative quality of making music. Tea & snacks will be provided as well.

No previous musical experience is needed. This workshop is designed especially for beginners.
