Weekend workshop - Earth to sky - Grounding to Flying

Over dit evenement

In this weekend workshop, we will start from the ground – the first and best partner. We will learn to really ground ourselves and to connect in few different way to gravity and the floor.

From the ground we will gather strength and connect to a strong quality and core movement.

Pushing with the core, we will shift our attention to become light, soft, smooth and fly on our underdancer with ease.

We will learn how to invite and hear an invitation for a lift, and we will learn how to catch one, or to disconnect from the ground without your partner noticing it.

Soft, slow, and smooth movement patterns will help us to adapt and support our own structure and the mutual dance with our partner, so we can go further with them into faster and more challenging patterns with ease and without fear reactions.

We will refine our ‘grammar’ of Contact Improvisation and learn new ‘vocabulary.’

This workshop is suitable for all levels of Contact Improvisation, from beginners to advanced.
