This workshop is tailored towards pairs which tie together. One ticket is shared between a pair.
This is designed for people who already know one single-column tie (any single column tie) and have some idea of rope handling and basic frictions such as a half hitch.
This workshop is for people who already have some basic rope experience and want to explore how rope can become part of erotic, sensual, and intimacy based play. I personally care about the topic of intimacy a lot, and i define intimacy as a form of familiarity with an explicit refusal to constantly pressure myself to become more intimate.
Within the context of the workshop, we will explore how do you build tension, closeness, and anticipation? How do you use rope in ways that support touch, desire, pacing, and connection without getting lost in patterns or performance? This workshop explores rope as a tool for intimacy, eroticism, and physically intimate play. We will look at how rope can reveal intimacy, vulnerability, restriction, attention, and how these qualities can support different kinds of intimate experiences between partners.
Suitable for tying pairs. Switching is allowed and will be facilitated throughout the class.
Workshop Content
We focus on developing the skills of both the tying person and the person in ropes. We will work on both rope technique and the broader experience of tying, with attention to communication (whatever that means to you), flow, body awareness, and interaction. We will work on rope bondage as "tying with each other" instead of "tying another"
We will explore this workshop through the following themes:
Simple hands behind the back ties (low hands)
Pace, Distance and timing
Anticipation building
Harnesses suitable for Physical Intimacy
Basic understanding of stems in harnesses and how to build and use them like handles
Technical Requirements and Suitability
* Know a single-column tie, Wrapping around the body, a half hitch and some frictions are useful but not necessary (munter hitch or x frictions)
*This workshop is intended for people who already have some basic rope experience and want to explore a more intimate or erotic application of rope with a partner.
*This class may be especially relevant for people who want to bring more sensuality or sexuality into their rope
feel technically capable but not yet confident in intimate scene-building
*want to better understand pacing, body handling, and non-verbal communication.
This is not an absolute beginners workshop. Participants should already be able to tie a single-column tie confidently enough to use it during this workshop.
The workshop is intended for couples and the spoken language is only English
For both people, negotiating consent and being able to define what their own boundaries are in terms of rope bondage, and also comfort in being close physically and or emotionally with their partner.
For the Person who's tying:
At least three ropes each 8 metres long and approximately 5–6 mm in diameter. Jute, Hemp, POSH, any of these three types are okay.
If you do not have rope, or forget it, you can purchase some rope at the event for 17€/rope this is Natural Fibre rope. A set of 3 ropes is available for 50€.

For the person getting tied:
Comfortable clothing such as leggings, a fitted top, or a comfortable T-shirt
Optional warm clothing or a blanket for breaks and after tying
Remember to eat and drink enough water!
