Movement Workshop with Masks

“La Masquerade” is a dance-theatre workshop by Fleur and Charlotte that explores movement, presence, and imagination in a natural setting. The workshop leads toward a shared performative experience through guided exploration and improvisation.

Participants are invited into a sensory journey using textile, nature-based masks created by Fleur. These masks act as a tool for transformation, helping you move beyond everyday expression and into a more playful, intuitive state of being.

Charlotte guides the session through practices rooted in physical theatre, dance improvisation, and durational performance. The focus is on how the body can respond to space, environment, and each other.

We will work outdoors in the garden space of De 1800 Roeden. Through movement exercises and improvisation, you will be invited to listen to rhythm, respond to the surroundings, and explore how movement emerges in the moment.

The workshop emphasizes collective creation in real time. Together, we allow images, figures, and scenes to arise naturally through interaction, presence, and imagination. Textile elements will be integrated into the space as a shifting, living scenography.

Inspired by masquerade traditions, the workshop approaches choreography as a way of embodying poetic and surreal narratives. The masked body becomes a playful, in-between figure—bridging dreamlike imagination and lived reality within a shared collective space.
