Our last edition was soooooo yummy! What else do we need in life, right? Nature, food, community & dancing together! All these elements are coming together in this perfect Movement Studio in Driebergen, so let's organize another ZOUK JE ZEN sunday and let's spread the Zouk magic once again!
This time we will have a workshop from new teachers, but with yeaaaars of experience!!! I was waiting for this moment and now it is happening. They want to contribute to growing the Zouk community and transfer the knowledge they have gained in the last few years of actively dancing and learning in the Netherlands and at international events. Their love and flow bring such calmness and positive energy to everyone in the room! So don't miss out on their first Zouk workshop at ZJZ coming up!!
✨WORKSHOP BY JULIA & RADJIV 1 -2PM✨
1 hour workshop on how to practice patience in zouk (and maybe in life?)
Patience is a very important topic in Zouk dance and in life. It calms your nervous system, makes you a better listener and eventually even more creative & playful. But in today's world where everything has to be fast, being patient is almost a rebellious act. Patience is what distinguishes a good dancer. A question to all : Where in the dance can we be even more patient to make the dance even more pleasant? Followers, when you are not sure what the leader wants, are you rushing or waiting? Leaders, if the follower doesn't get leading cues, are you patient or do you force it?
In the workshop you will :
- Explore perspectives of what patience means for follower & leader
- Explore how patience can create this constant flow
- What happens when we are not patient in dance & how we can change this
During this workshop you will explore perspectives from both sides and learn how you can reach the level of patience to make dance a pleasant and joyful experience for both. Through body and mind excersises you will be able to integrate this in your dance.
