Over dit evenement
The end of winter is in sight and spring will be with us within this series. What better way to prepare for all those outside trainings and beautiful weather than with some classes?
This series we'll be working on some more advanced washing machines. Think disorienting turns into stars for the flyer, one legged balances for the base and maybe some minor pops. Does that sound intimidating? No worries, we will make sure everyone has a solid foundation to do these tricks. And if all else fails, our ninja spotters will happily pluck you out of the air ;)
Completely new to acroyoga? Don't worry, this is a mixed level class and we're happy to get you going with the basics! No need for a partner, just bring a yoga mat, water, and be ready to get moving :)
! As hipsy doesn't really cater for a class ticket system this event will "start" at the first day of the series and "end" at the last day. This way you can buy tickets at any point before the last class, please let us know latest 36h in advance when you expect to join (contact info in confirmation). Classes will be every friday from 20:00-21:30. Don't have a ticket yet? We are always reachable on e-mail ;)

FAQ:
-Do I need to be strong/flexible to do this?
Not especially so, no, strength and flexibility naturally develops during this practice, technique is much more important than strength and it's a core focus of how we teach.
If in doubt, come try out a class and experience it for yourself!
-Do I need to bring a partner to be able to participate?
Not at all, during classes we intentionally mix up the group as it's extremely valuable to practice with different people, as well as Acroyoga technically being a 3+ person practice.
-Do I need prior experience to join these classes?
The group is mixed levels, some people are doing it for the first time, others have a background in another form of movement and some have been with us for multiple series. We offer exercises for all levels and being in a mixed levels group means there's a lot of help available from fellow students.
-What do I need to bring to class?
A yogamat and preferably tight pants. For the upper body either formfitting clothing or something you can easily tuck into your pants. Loose fabrics tend to become a blindfold or get feet tangled up in them. Bringing a bottle of water and a light snack for after class is also highly recommended.
-----------------------
So often we do a trick at a festival or jam and we don't really know how we actually did it, and fail to reproduce this with someone that doesn't know the trick.
We aim to teach you acroyoga in such a way that you walk away from our classes with a sense of understanding of the tricks and the skills involved, so that you can reproduce these with anyone and be able to explain it to others.
If we got your interest, sign up and join for an evening filled with the exploration of movement and connection.
