Each labour and birth is unique. Birth Preparation with Birthlight supports women’s centering and resilience so that they can remain at one with their birth experience, however it unfolds.
This interactive mother and partner workshop gives you comprehensive practices and knowledge to move toward the sacred journey of birth. The workshop is interactive, including breathing techniques, as well as practical ideas for birth partners on how to support and communicate during labour. You will receive the tools you need to prepare for a calm, confident and positive birth experience.
Birthlight practices are specifically developed for pregnant women for easing their birth experience as a peak experience in their lives that is both physical and spiritual. It prepares mothers and birth partners alike to have understanding of the birth, and for partners to know how to support their birthing partner, and to feel confident and at ease.
Elements of the workshop:
- Childbirth basics: the basic anatomy and physiology of the 4 stages of labour
- The hormones of labour and birth and the importance of releasing fear and anxiety
- The elements of birth preparation including both principles and practical resources for each stage of labour
- Birthing 'light' with yoga, aiming for the most easeful birth possible for mother and baby
- Breathing for labour and birthing baby
- Birthing positions + supported birthing positions with partners. Alternative birth positions on hospital beds.
- Relaxation techniques
- How to support the birthing mother
- Massage techniques
- Learn how you and your partner can feel more connected and confident
- How to be actively involved as the birthing couple
in the birth of your baby.

ABOUT REGINA NÉMETH
My name is Regina. I'm teaching Yoga since 2010 and Prenatal, Birth Preparation and Postnatal Classes since 2016. I'm a certified Birthlight Teacher for Pregnancy, Birth and Postnatal. I gave birth myself in 2016 and 2019 using the techniques and practices of Birthlight during my pregnancies, labours, births and postpartum. These gave me a huge support; allowing me to feel more confident and empowered to move into the birthing journey and motherhood. Now I'm passionate about sharing this knowledge and experience to other expecting mothers too!
