Ashtanga vinyasa yoga is a deep profound system; basically yoga philosophy manifested on the mat. As we know it nowadays, it is a set sequence of asanas, always repeated in the same order; always with a different experience.
Some consider this practice one of the most challenging sequences as there is many intermediate to advanced postures, yet accessible to _everyone_ when approached correctly. And that’s exactly where the magic happens: Can we practice without attachment to the outcome? Can we practice with acceptance to where our body is today? Can we cultivate contentment no matter how the practice goes? Can we remain patient, compassionate and grateful even if the practice challenges us?
To understand the depths and real meaning of Yoga, each session will begin with philosophical part; introducing Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, Patanjali Yoga Sutra & 8-fold path. Along with proper sound breathing, drishti & bandhas, you will learn each asana in traditional order, its modifications and alignment with loads of personal attention to your unique body.
In between weekly classes, you will embark on the journey of deep discoveries of home self-practice and learn more in every following session.

This course is suitable for those who:
~ want to learn from the scratch
~ practice ashtanga here and there but still have many questions and want to deepen their knowledge
~ want to sculpt already established practice

All levels are welcome. Some basic yoga practice experience will be a plus, but no need to be familiar with ashtanga method.
About Nica:
Nica is a passionate yogi nomad, sharing holistic bodywork around the world. She is teaching yoga for past decade with more than 1200+ hours of certified trainings. Besides studying Ashtanga Yoga with authorised teachers in Mysore and Rishikesh, she also taught yoga in several countries in Asia and Europe. She is also training and coaching new yoga teachers to become. Her approach is focused mainly on alignment, hands on assist, philosophical background on & off yoga mat and is always meeting students exactly where they are.
