For centuries plates have been for serving food and as a canvas for art and design.
They’ve been works of art, carrying stories of culture, craftsmanship, and tradition.
From the intricate blue-and-white patterns of Dutch Delftware to the bold, symbolic motifs of Moroccan ceramics.
Plates have reflected the creativity and identity of generations.

In this two-part workshop series, we dive into this timeless tradition and make it our own.

Together in a small group in a studio in the center of Amsterdam, you’ll explore plate decoration as a form of expression, healing, and storytelling.
Whether inspired by ancient techniques or your own imagination, you’ll create a piece that reflects your unique energy and voice.


What to Expect
🌀 April 17 – Create & Design
* Dive into the design process with clay or pre-made ceramic plates. Create your own plate.
* Learn about styles from different cultures and eras
* Sketch, decorate, and paint using your intuition and personal inspiration
* All materials are provided, but feel free to bring a plate as a reference or a small object as inspiration of mall.


🌀 May 8 – Glazing & Decorative Techniques
* Learn glazing techniques to finish and seal your piece.
* Explore historical and contemporary ceramic methods.
* Apply a glaze that enhances your design and brings your plate to life.


This workshop is a space to slow down, create with intention, and connect through a shared creative journey.
